'FACES"

Playing around with
the Jinn's face.
Illustrator.
Looking like a Chagall window....

JINN (under the INFLUENCE?)

THIS CONTENT GENIE
looks like he's stuck in
a Tanqueray bottle
or
a bottle of
Bombay Saphire.
Illustration Friday's word is 'influence.'

It's a painting with
an interesting texture.
The background is alkyd oil.
I pressed a hard pencil onto the dry surface
to draw the genie (jinn) and
describe the bottle's shape.
The I masked off the simple shape
and rubbed oil pastel over
the depressed design.

THEN
gouache is flowed into the
drawing's grooves.
after fixing I
give him an exotic locale
with a
23 carat gold minaret/parrapet
combo.

Here's a close-up of
black and orange and white gouache
on the oil pastel surface.
all on rag board.
8.5 X 10.5 inches.
