This little Rooster...

LOOKS LIKE
a glossy, tin-glazed tile.
More to be done but the first drawing pleases me.

UNTITLED

I'll call it "LIGHT COVER"

ROOSTER2

PROGRESS....

A YELLOW GLAZE
stippled
and scraped to reveal the line drawing.
Then minute additions of colors with
teeny brushes.
Sore neck!

Rooster3

This is one of my favorites.
In this first stage it looked like
an old tile.
The glossy oils shine like ceramic.
It has changed a bit since this!

THIS IS

the initial sketch design.
it's already changed  in texture and color.

Get Happy...

YOU KNOW WHAT
makes me happy
and makes time disappear?

PAINTING!
I'll be posting a
rooster series the next few days.
Glossy wet oils on collage.

In town....

Today is my day "off."
Laundry is spinning;
toast is toasting
and Tulip has had two walks in the bright
beautiful day.

In town,
in front of the studio
there's the commotion of
construction on
Simonton.
The municipal archaeologists
have unearthed
the old brick streets of Key West.

I am out of the dust
behind my studio door
at number 316.

Snowflakes and palm trees.
