'LADY OF THE LAKE'
I LISTEN to film music when I paint and have found CINEMIX under the radio section of ITUNES. One track I heard came from LADY IN THE WATER. I did this the same afternoon.
Alkyd oil, watercolor and gold.

'BEST BOY'
SPEAKING OF DOGS: have you seen the tear-jerker called "HATCHI; A DOG'S TALE?" It's based on a true story from Japan about a sweet akita hound and co-stars Richard Gere.
We saw it on the plane to California, but without sound. I cried despite the absence of words and music. Coming home to Florida they ran it again on BOTH connecting flights and I cried twice more...

'DOG AT DUSK'
A MINIATURE oil on paper; measures about 5.5 x 4.5 inches.
As yet unsigned, and since it's a small format I'll just do my initials to keep the composition uncluttered.

'YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL ME'
Again, a small original watercolor over alkyd oil. The gold flourish in the wing shape is 23 carat.
Kinda fun to zero in on the all-knowing face; like a nice portrait shot. This is framed and hanging in the gallery now.

Make paint stick...
THE GRASS and warm background are alkyd oil on paper. I want the watercolor line drawing and lettering to stick to it ,so.....
You can draw the lines first with water soluble pencil. The lettering sticks onto a pale green brush stroke of acrylic.

'SPHINX'
" I SWEAR! Your as silent as a old Sahara sphink!"
"Uhh, uhh; sphinx."
"What?"
"Sphinx; you spell it with an 'x.'"
"That's only if there's more than one!"
"Ohhhh...."
That's very loosely based on lyrics from 'CAROUSEL.' This one's inspired by the grand sculptures that flank stairways in some chateau's private gardens. Perky Marie Antionette breasts....
