SUMMER READING

NOW this little series has reached a quick conclusion. Illustrator; 20 minutes.

FALLING

LEAVES. And a mask of fallen ones in smokey cool air.

I beat myself up for not painting daily but I can at least do a little drawing each day in Illustrator. What; 20 minutes to do this?  Only 'summer' to do next!

ANOTHER SEASON...

....another reason to doodle. Here we go warmer with Illustrator, quickly.

SNOW QUEEN

COLOR POP

RUNNING two images today that have similar color combinations.
I once had an inspirational 'color file'; it had clippings from magazines featuring color combinations in interiors or fabrics. Some were just photos of plumage or reptiles and their markings. On my bulletin board now is a shot of shoes covered in a fabric that is magenta, burnt orange and black and a lot of white/gray.

LATELY I've framed and hung little paintings that, in my opinion, require no title. This is one.
I do refer to it as 'the sweet dog.' It's india ink and gold on an acrylic background.

CIVILITY

THIS ink brush drawing is over a random abstract acrylic background from my files of tinted papers.

MOM BIRD

TRIPLETS! My third rendition of the Mom Bird; I posted another original, much smaller painting the other day. That one was mixed aquamedia on paper.

This one is alkyd oil over a painted tissue collage ; underneath it all is a rigid plastic panel measuring 16 X 20 inches.
