"PERFECT" by David Scott Meier

This 11 x 14 oil on collage
flowed out of me.
Painting happy yesterday.

I rubbed out the first draft so there
was underpainting and palette knife texture
to guide me.

One of my favorite parts:

I've been looking at antique
Edwardian style jewelry on line.
Lots of delicate platinum and diamond
foliate forms are inspiring.

'REVELLEE!'

HERE'S ANOTHER
rooster and sun.
I like to use watercolor for my letter forms.
Inktense pencils, acrylics and
india ink for the rest.
On rag board
measuring about 8.75 X 10.75 inches.

AVAILABLE
as a print, too.

'GRATIS'

'GRATIS'
Acrylic and oil on paper.
The acrylic background of monoprint
and brushwork.
The bowl, bird , fruit and lettering
in alkyd oils.

Sometimes a stencil is the quickest way to
conjure and lay down a simple
strong shape. That's how I arrived at the
bird's shape.
