THIS
quick photo shows the alkyd oil's gloss

But you can get the idea of this not-so-fetching dog.

"the best dog in the world..."

LIVES
in lots of different homes.
A small oil on collage.

Studio gardening....

I always have had plants near all my
studio doors.
These have been vandalized about three times
but that mystery creep has moved on
I hope.
These two don't take up much space and I can't see the
door without them now. It'd look plain.

The planters are designed by
Pamela Crawford
and can be mounted in pots or on posts.

"PLAY" David Scott Meier

This painting was a joy to do.
A long process though as it started
here at Sugarloaf and was moved into the new Simonton Street studio.

The imaginary playground is more
hilly-Costa Rican than lower keys.
Big palms instead of low mangroves;
boulders instead of shifting coral beaches.

At Frangipani Gallery.

"MUSIC IN TREES"

The best gardens are hidden and sprinkled with water sounds.
One hears music and conversation
(and not a little laughter)
beyond the gates and leaves.
